How can I check out books?
In order to check out books and other materials, you must have a valid Campbell County Public Library card. There is no charge for the card, and you don't have to live in Campbell County to receive one.
Please bring two forms of identification that show your name and current local address (driver's license & blank check or a piece of mail).
Can my child get his or her own library card?
In order for your child to obtain a card, you must accompany him or her to the library. You'll need to present your valid Campbell County Public Library card or fill out an application for a new card.
Your child must be 5 years old OR be able to sign his or her own name at the bottom of the application (you may fill out the rest). You will also need to complete a form stating that you take responsibility for the items your child checks out and to give him or her permission to use our computers.
How long can I keep the things I've checked out?
2 weeks for all materials. You may renew up to 3 times if no one else is waiting for the material. You may not renew adult new books.
How much money will I owe the library if my books and movies are late?
10 cents a day for all materials.
How many books and movies am I allowed to check out at one time?
Each person can check out 10 new adult books and can keep them for 2 weeks (no renewals). Books on tape and books on CD are limited to 4 per library card. Videos are limited to 4 per family (this includes both adult & children's videos). There is no limit on the number of other materials; however, patrons are asked to consider others when checking out materials on only one subject.
